Privacy policy

Short version: your resume content never leaves your device. Here's the long version.

Last updated: April 2026

What stays on your device

When you use the resume builder, everything you type — name, contact details, work history, education, skills, photos you upload — is stored in your browser's local storage. It does not leave your device. We cannot see it, retrieve it, or hand it over to anyone. Clear your browser data and your resume is gone.

What we do collect

Analytics. Aggregate page views, which templates get used, which articles get read. No personal identifiers. You can block it with any standard ad blocker.

Contact form submissions. If you write to us, we keep the message long enough to respond — usually no more than twelve months after the conversation ends.

Server logs. Standard web server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) for security and debugging, rotated on a normal schedule.

Cookies

We use a minimal set. The builder stores its state in local storage, not cookies, so the tool itself doesn't need them. Any cookies we set are strictly necessary for the site to function or used for aggregate analytics. No advertising cookies.

Third parties

The site uses locally hosted fonts and loads the Excel import/export library only when you ask for it. No ad-tech scripts or hidden tracking bundles run in the background.

Your rights

Because we don't collect personally identifiable resume data in the first place, there isn't much to hand over, delete, or correct. If you've sent us a message and want it removed, email us and we'll delete it.

Children's privacy

The site is intended for adults in the workforce. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change how data is handled in any meaningful way, we'll update this page and change the last updated note above.
